(More customer reviews)I have used Rain-X for over ten years now. I am still amazed at what it does for glass. The spray bottles or wipes have worked best for me. Do not apply or buff with a cloth you intend to keep as the chemicals degrade fabrics. Cheap paper towels do just fine. Some people complain about glare after applying it, but a good buffing or the next car wash or rain shower will take care of any places you missed.
Windshield, side glass and even my mirrors are treated three to four times a year. No, it is not intended to replace using wipers, but any consistent cruising speeds over 30 mph and water rolls right off.
Try not to spray on painted surfaces & rubber trim as the directions say. I have experimented with spraying rubber scraps & plastics, it degrades and dries rubber trim fast due to the evaporatives in Rain-X.
