(More customer reviews)As they say, make sure your windshield is 100% clean. Then clean it again. One more time for good measure. It will definitely seal crap to your glass. Get it all on there, wait a little bit, and buff it out as fast and as thoroughly as you can. Though they say it can be applied in ambient temperatures of as low as 50F, be careful. I did it at around 53F in my garage and it streaked a bit. When I applied it last time, I believe it was in the upper 60s. I might have to try different wipers, but they didn't seem to have this issue before (Trico NeoForms), and they're only about a month old.
I will say, though, as long as you apply it properly, this stuff works very well. I'm not going back to RainX. The streaking kind of has me down right now, though, as it'll be a long time before it's warm enough for me to re-apply it (no heated garage). It also seems to make ice scraping easier (makes sense, there's less contact surface for the water to get on to). Gnarly full-contact automatic car washes don't seem to phase it, either. It lasted through last winter in to the summer last time I used it, so it does seem to live up to the 6-month claim even in a crappy climate. They say it may last longer if you have a garage (or otherwise keep it out of the sun), but I've only had one for a couple months now so I can't comment on that.
I took off a star because of the potential temperature issue, also because it's expensive stuff unless you buy it in bulk like this. AutoZone, O'Reilly's, and Advance Auto don't carry it, though I believe Advance used to. It doesn't have an expiration date, and since it's sealed in the internal glass ampule, it probably isn't going anywhere. But, it may be worth considering if you don't have a ton of cars or use it on every window...
