(More customer reviews)I have an AEM synthetic air filter cone on my Mazda's short ram. While AEM used to market their own cleaning kit, they now suggest using this K&N cleaner. I can see why. The old AEM kit cost more, used a lot more chemicals, and soaked the filter to such an extent that it took forever to dry. With the spray bottle you can use less cleaner, but can apply it better and get the same results. Cleaned it at night and put the filter back on in the morning.
Fortunately (or unfortunately) it cleaned the filter so well that the engine computer interpreted it's new easy breathing as a fault and threw the check engine light on. You can fix that on most cars by disconnecting your battery for less than a minute. You'll have to reset your radio settings though.
