(More customer reviews)I bought this unit for use with our RV. It's high capacity and reasonable price were the primary reasons. The first time I used it at a campground the plastic outlet cracked in half. As the crack extended all the way through the plastic base, it's a total loss. I didn't drop it or stress it in any unusual way. It is very top-heavy with a small base, so it tends to tip over easily, especially if not positioned on a hard flat surface. My next softener will have metal hose fittings.
