(More customer reviews)Sometimes due to fixed shipping charges, there are products that are just not economical to buy through Amazon. This brush is one of them. I bought this brush at a local store for $4. Getting it through Amazon would cost about $18. I'm not too good at math, but those two numbers are just a little too far apart.
As for the brush itself, the main selling points are that there are two sets of bristles, and that they are of different stiffness. While the black bristles are slightly stiffer than the white ones, there probably isn't enough of a difference to matter when cleaning. The selling point regarding stiffness, seems to have little or no validity.
A brush designed to clean car rims, should have bristles that are much stiffer. With the soft bristles, doing tough jobs with this brush isn't easy, even if you use a good cleaning agent.
The handle is designed to provide a solid grip, and the twisted wires that hold the bristles are amazingly stiff, so you can apply a good deal of force, without causing the wires bend or deform. The brush is also designed to be forced into a smaller opening.
While the design of the handle and frame is very solid, the soft bristles really subtracts from the brush's usefulness for cleaning tire rims. It is fine for general cleaning applications, and is worth what I paid, however $18 is quite out of the question.
