(More customer reviews)I've washed before, I've waxed before, but when I got my first new car, a 2010 Ford Focus, I decided to kick it up a notch. Research indicated that sealant will make it look shinier, and have longer lasting protection, compared to traditional wax. I chose this one because it promised super shine that would last for hundreds of washes.
Application was easy; wash, dry, then (in the shade) apply a thin layer of the Sealer, which is like thin hand lotion. I started at 10 AM and left it on for 24 hours, but you can take only 20 minutes. This time is so the sealer can sink into the "pores" of the paint and bond with the car's surface to protect it. Then, I used the Glaze; it's thinner, like milk, and is used to wipe off the now hazy Sealer. Then go over the car with a microfiber towel to buff up the shine. There wasn't a lot of elbow grease involved; just some attention to details like not slopping it on the glass or trim. (It comes off with window cleaner if you goof up.) It seems to dry right away, and it shines, right away.
I just put it on, so I don't know about the longevity, but I can tell you this about the shine: WOW. My paint color is called sterling grey metallic, and when I first saw it at the dealer, I thought it was subtle. The car looks gray, then tilt your head and the lovely sparkles appear.
Well, under the influence of this Shine On combo, the flakes absolutely EXPLODED; like each one of them got their own spotlight. Now, when you look at it in full sunlight, the car absolutely glimmers and sparkles and there's nothing subtle about it.
It's completely and totally awesome.
