(More customer reviews)I purchased a Novus Plastic Polish kit mainly to use for my many pairs of (non-prescription, non-coated) reading glasses, all with plastic lenses. The first thing I repaired, though, was my watch "crystal" (actually tough plastic), which had a big gouge in it. I started with product no. 1, which cleaned the plastic without affecting the scratch. Then I tried no. 2 but it made almost no difference. So following instructions I went on to no. 3, and after a few minutes of rubbing the scratch was almost invisible. Nobody would know it was there except me, and I'm certain I could remove every last trace if I thought it was worthwhile. I followed the no. 3 treatment with nos. 2 and 1 again, and the crystal was beautiful, like new except for the tiny area I didn't bother to spend more time with. I also tried the polishes on a couple of pairs of non-Rx reading glasses, with good results. It does what I wanted it to do, and is the first really effective, and fairly easy, way I've found to remove scratches and impart a super-slick shiny surface to damaged plastic.
The product labeled no. 1 is a super-good cleaner, and I suspect it is not abrasive at all. Each of the three products requires only a tiny bit to do its work, and there are a few lint-free wipers supplied to apply and buff with.
