(More customer reviews)When it comes to operating a new engine, you never have to worry about fouled spark plugs, though you do have to replace them each year for optimum efficiency. Now that spark plugs have gone up to 3 to 10 dollars a plug, thats 10 dollars out of your pocket that could have gone to buying yourself a burger and fries!
And if you are operating an older engine which seems to foul a spark plug every couple months, it can cost you up to $50.00 per year buying new spark plugs. If you think about it, its just a pain in the butt and makes no sense, when that money could be going to something more important, like a car payment, gas payment, or grocery items.
Years ago, I used to own a 15-year old Murray RER. That engine liked to burn oil, and would foul up my spark plug every 4-hours of use. Seeing as how one of these spark plug sand blasters didn't cost that much, I decided to pick up one.
EXPERIENCE: IMO, this little spark plug sand blaster is a life saver! All I have to do is stick a spark plug inside the rubber hole, attach my air line, and press the button. Your going to need at the very least, a 6.5 gallon, 2HP air compressor to operate this. I like to run each spark plug at least twice if not three times in the sand blaster, as to get them super clean.
Then I take my blow-gun and blast away the sand particles, after I have removed the spark plug from the sand blaster unit. After I am done, I re-install the spark plug into my engine, and wala, she starts, she runs, she moves. OK, maybe I am thinking of something else right now.
CONCLUSION: I have been very happy with my spark plug sand blaster. And though the sand in it is quite dirty now, I have been able to do 20 sand blasting with the original sand media. Its time for me to pick up a new bag of sand. All in all, I highly recommend this!
