Pelican L1 1930 LED Adventure Series Flashlight Black New Review

(More customer reviews)DH got one of these at work a few years ago "for emergencies." It supposedly floats and has a really long battery life, so someone thought all employees should have one.
Now, DH won't leave home without it! It fits easily into his pants pocket and he carries it everywhere. He is always finding a use for it: reading the menu at a dark restaurant, finding something at the bottom of his backpack, looking for items that have fallen under the front seat of the car, etc., etc. Other guys are always admiring it and asking where they can get one.
Needless to say, I never get to use it, so I now have to buy one for myself. They also make great stocking stuffers and fun gifts for the person who "has everything." Two thumbs up!

Bestop 11201-00 Cleaner, 16 oz. Review

I scrubbed quite a bit with this stuff and at the end of a couple cleaning cycles it was cleaner, but wasn't as nice looking as i would have hoped. I could still see the mud stains on the black fabric. I haven't tried it on my soft top yet, but I have a feeling soap and water would have worked just as good. Maybe my expectations were too high that this stuff would be excellent at cleaning Bestop material.

Handstands Jelly Sticky Pad Review

(More customer reviews)... something so small and simple and inexpensive would end up providing a good mounting surface to mount your GPS receiver to the dash? No, Handstands doesn't promote this product in that fashion (I heard it first at GPS Passion), but believe it or not, it works (I was pretty skeptical - but after reading jbb's review, I figured why not try it?)
This is a very small and thin product (so small you don't even notice it if you have a dark dash) 5.75"L x 3.75"W x 1/8" thick, and this one comes in graphite (black). And that's exactly why I like it -- it's unobtrusive. Now I don't know how it would work for a larger, heavier GPS with a heavier and longer mount, but for my Nuvi 260 (which is less than 6 oz and comes with a really tiny ball mount), it works like a charm. I could have even gotten a smaller pad, and it probably would have worked just fine.
Obviously, if it works as a GPS mounting surface, it no doubt works for its intended purpose (cell phones, iPods, glasses, etc., -- I wouldn't know first-hand). But a word of caution. It would be advisable not to keep it on your dash month after month (natural bleaching of the dash by the sun could leave your dash with an outline of the pad). Just move it around every once and awhile.
Seems rather silly to give such a simple and inexpensive product 5 stars (or this long of a review), but since it does what it isn't even advertised to do, I'll give it 9 out of 10 and a 5-star rating. Now I don't know how this product will perform over time, but since it's easy to take off and clean, I don't see why it shouldn't last for years (but if it doesn't, I'm only out 6 bucks).
EDIT: Handsprings has changed the top surface texture of their sticky pads! I just purchased a second one (my original, I left at a friends house in D.C. -- and I live in SoCal). This new product is NOT the same. It can no longer be used as a GPS mount. Because of this, ignore the review above. The entire pad is less "sticky" than the original, and because of this, it deserves an average rating and not 5 stars.

(More customer reviews)We had some water damage on our carpet, the beginnings of mold and mildew stains, regular soap and water and regular branded spot cleaners weren't doing the trick. We had some of this for our outside awnings and saw this worked on carpets as well. Sprayed direct onto the carpet (which was already moist due to water damage) rubbed lightly with dampened cloth and it was like magic, discolored stain and coloration gone,fresh looking carpet remained. We're going to get a carpet cleaner and use this to clean all the carpets in our house, we're very impressed. No nasty smells, biodegradable, it's a wonderful product.

(More customer reviews)I was skeptical at first when it came to purchasing a $20 bottle of exhaust polish, but it came highly recommended amongst reviewers on car club websites and even won an award at the SEMA car show if my memory serves me. I decided to give it a try, and WOW!- what a difference! I used fine bronze wool like the bottle suggests and it removed all oxidation and even surface rust deposits from my exhaust tips. I would say that it even looks better than when I first purchased my exhaust! I will be telling my friends about this product, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to produce a beautiful luster on their stainless steel exhaust!

I stopped using these rubberized foam cleaning blocks imported from China by Hi-Tech Industries when I discovered they smudge, smear and leave rubber residue at any temperature over about 70 degrees. They clean adequately, but the work required to polish away the rubber streaking is makes it not worth the effort.

Permatex 12002 NOS Octane Booster Street Review

I didn't really notice any problems ... until one day I noticed that I'm not getting the kind of rapid acceleration I used to get, and that my engine idles louder than it used to. I also noticed my mileage was getting worse over the last year. In short, I was starting to see the signs of pre-combustion/detonation due to using low octane gas. I switched to premium and NOS Octane Booster for one month and I'm already seeing more power (higher RPMs without pressing the pedal down as much), a quieter engine idle, and slightly better gas mileage (based on my car's built-in mpg estimator.
This is a great street-legal octane booster.

Ridgid WD4070 4 Gallon Portable Vacuum Review

(More customer reviews)For tough household clean-up I needed a good value in a strong vacuum cleaner but not the greater capacity of the larger Ridgid shop-vacs. This 4-gallon "canister-like" model was the ideal size. The vacuum itself is very well-priced and I outfitted it with all the necessary accessories - filter bags, Heavy Duty Cleaning Kit, and the 10-foot tough ProHose - to tackle tough cleaning jobs in a well-equipped manner.
The vacuum itself would get a five-star rating, but alas it is the total system that must work well together. The problem is that the top extension wand only "press fits" into the adapter at the end of the hose. Every other critical connection has a latch of some kind. So this friction joint is the weak link. When using the floor brush with the wands, the wand constantly wants to work its way out of the hose adapter. Depending on your grip, either the wand or the hose will unexpectedly fall to the floor as you are working. Only constant attention and conscious application of pressure and/or twisting action via a two-handed grip will prevent this separation.
It is almost a show-stopper, but the system vacuums so well that I've kind of adapted to it. It is not so much an issue when the smaller tools are used directly on the hose without the wands.

BMW 82 14 1 467 126 Vehicle Care Kit Review

Checked this out from the nearby BMW Dealer. The bucket does not have a cover and by looking at the picture closely it had soap bubbles that looked like a cover at a glance. The bucket is made by rubber maid not by BMW. The only BMW products are the shampoo and the wheel gel which you can get under $20.
The sponge gave up on its second use - torn 3 ways. Wheel brush too stiff to brush off dirt. It won't clean thoroughly the surface around the lug nut.
The Ads could have been more accurate describing the product.

Meguiar's G-9524 Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner. 24 oz. Review

(More customer reviews)This cleaner works well. It is not magic and simply applying it and rinsing off doesn't really do the trick. Although, I guess if you were crazy and did that daily it would work, but who does that?
Personally, I try to wash my car weekly. Some weeks it doesn't happen, but mostly it does. I've found that this spray is easy to apply after having just washed the car and then I use a brush on the wheels before rinsing it all off. The spray goes on easy as a nice foam and all four tires of my mustang seem to take just a little fluid out of the bottle implying a large number of wheel washings per bottle. I have only used it three times so far and the fluid level is nearly at the "looks like it just came from the store" level.
As with cleaning anything, keeping a regular routine just makes the cleaning easier and faster. If your wheels are really dirty and you don't clean them frequently then expect to apply this cleaner more than once and to use a little more elbow grease. But, if you're a frequent-cleaner-type person you will find that regular maintenance is a breeze and just a little brushing loosens all of that road crud in no time.
Contrary to another reviewer's complaint it definitely is better than "soap and a sponge." I know this because I washed two wheels on my car with the regular car wash soap I use, and two with this stuff. The results: my wife easily identified which was which.
One thing of note, which did not impact my star rating. I ordered this product directly from Amazon and it arrived in a plastic bag in a box. This is a good thing as the pump had a teeny leak and the bag prevented the fluid from getting on anything else in the shipment. I can't fault the product for being a liquid and being tossed by UPS (the box was ragged when it arrived) but I can compliment Amazon for their packing methods.

Diablo Gel Wheel & Rim Cleaner Concentrated Suspension Rim & Wheel Cleaner Gel Safe for All Wheels (16oz) Review

(More customer reviews)There are a lot of products to clean your wheel's in today's market, however after doing some research most wheel cleaners (acid base) can damage your wheels if used incorrectly. As a result I've come across the three 'best and safest' available; P21's wheel gel cleaner, Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner and Diablo Gel Wheel and Rim Cleaner. In most message boards I've read P21's wheel gel cleaner is the best in the world but it is also the most expensive. Sonax does a good job but it is still not very cost effective.
However If you are tying to get the best bang for your buck I fully recommend the Diablo Gel Wheel and Rim Cleaner due to the fact this is the only concentrated product of the three therefore you can mix it to a strength you need. I've seen some people mix it as strong as 1:1 but I think that's just wasting product, I mix mine 4:1 and this works out to 1 inch of product to full a quart size spray bottle (just as the product description) therefore I get 1 gallon of Diablo Gel Wheel Cleaner from a 16oz concentrate bottle! It must be said all of the wheel cleaners I've mentioned you have to spray it on and use a wheel brush to get off the grime, none of these allows you to spray it on and wash off the grime with water only, but that's what you get when you want a product that is acid free and ph balanced to clean your wheels unlike those acid base crap that might cost you a new set of rims. Additionally I mix it with room temperature bottled water; my only warning before using this product is that you may have to get some strawberry bubble gum because it smells that good.
